"Blurred Lines" debuted at number 94 on the Billboard Hot 100, the following week the song rose to number 89, then to number 70, then to number 54. The single's progress appeared to stabilize in middle of the U.S. charts when, in mid-May, Robin Thicke and Pharrell performed it live on NBC's The Voice. Immediately afterwards the song flew up to number 12 on the Hot 100. Not long thereafter it peaked at number one, becoming Thicke's highest peaking song on the chart in his recording history. The song peaked at number one in 25 countries, becoming Thicke's highest charting song.
